Town/Crossing(s): Mulberry, FL/3rd St & Church Ave

Crossing info: SE 3rd St:
The signal closest has 12x24 Safetran Incandescent lights and a WCH Mechaincal Bell. The signal on the other side is a Harmon Cantilever with 12x24 lights on the mast, but a mix of 12x24 and 12x20 lights on the cantilever and a GS Type 1 Electronic Bell.

Church Ave:
This crossing is most famous for being in the middle of the Bone Valley and Valrico Subdivision Interlocking. The are 2 MI Cantilevers here with 12x24 Safetran lights and 2 WCH Mechanical Bells. There's one signal that protects a side street called SW Phosphate Blvd. That signal has 12x24 lights and a GS Type 2 Electronic Bell. The SD40-2 in this video is the same one seen in the SR 60 video. As you can see, the SE 3rd St crossing malfunctioned.

  • does the first signal always malfunction after the train leaves the crossing

  • I don't know. This is the only time I've been to this crossing.

  • Was this engine heading for the yard or what was its destination?

  • The Yard.

  • Mechanical Bell needsreplacement on the first crossing.

  • What needs to be replaced is that mismatch on the cantilever.

  • Looks like the crossing set direction correctly than lost it in between the two crossings. If crossing is located near interlocking problems might arise from signal fleeting functionality

  • Great K5LA

  • The Truck shouldv'e been fined for violating a crossing which is against the law. Gates or no gates.

  • @tfoster09 well i dont know wether to agree or dis agree with u but do u knowtice how far the crossing is on the other side of the tracks where the truck was coming from it may not have activited when the truck was crossing that cantiliver at the otherside im not sure though

  • I love how that semi goes right through the crossing. All the people were prbably like

"we really had to waito on THAT?'

  • NO BELLS

  • Nice, I like the mix of the crossing bells.

  • IF you examine the layout and acute angle of this crossing, you would see that the gate for that side of the road is a long ways off, and the truck was already inside the gate before it was activated....

  • awsome horn where was this single unit takein
