Martin Landau gets CIFF 2009 Achievement Award

Martin Landau accepts an Achievement Award from the 45th Chicago International Film Festival in the Ambassador East Hotel where the Chicago portions of NORTH BY NORTHWEST were shot. This is the Pump Room, where, as Landau explains, he ate many times after performing in Chicago theater. He's introduced by Festival Director Michael Kutza and John Russell Taylor, author of "Hitch: The Life and Times of Alfred Hitchcock."

I can't say all that I want to in one comment...too bad! Martin Landau! Legend! Icon! (and for me...) Heart throb! Go our Commander Koenig! You have played SO MANY memorable characters, and to try to narrow this down to one character is too hard! I have watched you from Pork Chop Hill and am awaiting to see 'Lovely Still"! I Am a fan forever Mr. Landau! ALL my best...hugs and kisses...just a fan...jan!
