If you dont notice I will tell you what is going on here.... Watch Bob Elliot do a false shuffle and Hiawatha Johnson Jr do the worse card force ever. He is not memorizing the whole deck. I think its a rip off!!!

Quick! Read this post before Harry has it deleted.
First I want to start this letter off by saying,Thank you' to all the people who called me wanting to post something on my behalf. It took me awhile to post this simply because I have to go else where to get into this site and it just wasn't worth my time. This is Sal Piacente and I am writing under the screen name FTR which stands for: For the Record. This is my second post ever on the Café and I promise you it will be my last.
I thought the Café was a place to express opinions but clearly if you are not kissing someones ass, then your post will be deleted (just like my first one). Harry Lorayne is way out of line on some of the comments he had made. It is true that I was at the magic meetings in NY when I lived there, but he should read his own memory books to help him remember that at that time the 2 biggest influences to me were Doug Edwards and Frank Garcia. Yes you helped me out also and do deserve some credit, but not nearly as much as you think you do.
I see that you did not like when other people chimed in about your blackjack posts because they were also deleted. You mentioned that Splice wouldn't be able to cover your bets; Harry, as long as I've known you, you never even sprung for a cup of coffee. You have short arms/deep pockets syndrome. When you open your walle t, George Washington; rubs his eyes. You said that they don't let your wife play in Vegas. That's because you won't give her money to!
I only wish people would say to your face, what they say behind your back. But maybe they do and you just have them deleted too.
Recently, someone talked about your ego & told me that mentalists buy your books so they could force the word I.
We all know you like to claim that you invented the Memory System. But the truth is, if anyone can believe it, it is way older than you! Just because you've been able to capitalize on it more than anyone in history, doesn't mean that it belongs to you or that you have a right to say that you invented it. After my first post, which only lived a short 2 hours on the Café, I had a lot of inquiries about the infomercial part where I mentioned that you claimed that you don't do any PSEUDO memory. But a false shuffle & an unskilled force by Hiawatha say otherwise. Someone emailed me to tell me that he posted this on you tube. Anyone who has known me or has been to my lectures knows that I give credit where credit is due. The REAL biggest influence I ha ve is Steve Forte. Though he doesn't consider himself a memory expert, he has an abundance of useful insight. Being the best in game protection & anything else he puts his mind to, he is one of the most humble people I know. You should take lessons, Harry.
Splice, after reading your post it shows that you know what you are talking about. You deal anyone 50% penetration and they cannot beat it using a card counting system. Harry talks about doubling down on an 18. If this is a hard 18, then that true count would have to be so minus (it wouldn't happen in all of our life times combined).

I just been reminded about the magic of....magic.When that does the "mind read"in front of all those ladies of course they know hes not really reading the girls mind,but its like that temporary "make believe land"which enables us to go with the flow.

@goetzfan darwin ortiz in his book strong magic mentions that harry would force a card and then pretent to memorize the deck to figure out the card the spectator(which were his memory students) took. darwin mentions its not that harry couldnt do it for real but he just took the easiest road.

Jonah, I am not saying the cards can't be memorized. I agree they can and my speed is competition level. What is being said is that he did not memorize them for this informercial. As a matter of fact this was deleted in future showings. Harry stated that he never uses psuedo demos and this shows that he did. Maybe he didn't do the actual demo but it was done on his show and rather poorly as I might add.

Lorayne would memorize poel he met by face and name with more people to remember than there are cards in a deck, but I can not confirm all of what is clamed to be possible untill I get better at memorizing. False shuffles are best when you do not see the cards and need to keep the order. You can memorize fairly quickly, but I do not know the top speed of memory with Harry Lorayne techniques.

Actually you are rigth that this can be faked, but I have memorized cards myself using memory pegs and I know with practice I can get faster. I do not yet know how fast youcan get, but card images are familiar and pegs can make things go fast because your used to memorizing pegs and card images all the time. New images you learn to make yourself stay longer, but pegs keep consonants and numbers consitaent and names with similliar endings can reuse te same images when meeting people.
