  • Hi George, Having worked with & knowing Marcus & Karen esp. during our competitive years, I can definitely assure you that he does not nec. "take orders from Karen". Filming an instructional or promo video is very different from knowing people. Marcus is a FIERCE competitor even though he is always friendly & charming. I think in partnerships that are successful, are like Yin-Yang - there has to be balance & give-and-take from both sides. The secret is sense of humour & communications.

  • @DanceScape Hello Robert, I am also a first born who could not act out my true self as a first born most of life, until my good luck that my first born wife courageous divorced me. I was set free to act out to be myself, a first born perfectionistic, critical, serious real self today! Ballroom dancing saved my life since 1984,the year I was divorced, it took me so many years to find myself, still finding! George Wu, AIA / YouTube Dancewu net

  • @georgewu5 Hi George, thank you for sharing your story. It is true that in life, there are things that happen that are major changes in one's life, but the experience actually transforms us, makes us stronger and results in greater happiness than expected! If you are on Facebook, please connect with us (search for danceScape or our names, Robert Tang & Beverley Cayton-Tang). Best regards!

  • Hi George ... just read your message. I am actually FIRST born. Beverley is second born. And I do consider myself dominant personality, although being Cantonese-Malaysian, my approach to most westerners and people who don't really know me is that I am a friendly person. But people should never underestimate friendly people! ;-)

  • @DanceScape Hello Robert, Thank You for your kindness. George 2011-10-14

  • @DanceScape My own conclusion is that if the man is a first born, it is his bad luck to ask a first born lady to dance, even it is only five minutes of dancing together. In my life, I have run into hundreds of that situation, as recently as six months ago,I was hurt when the "first born" woman going one way as I was the other, I never asked her again, I had had learned a dear lesson! I was married to a first born woman, if I ever get married again, she had to be not a first born! George Wu, AIA

  • @DanceScape When I was asked to design housing for Richmond in 1991, I saw Marcus and Karen danced in person. 20 years later, as soon as I closed my eyes,if I want to see them dancing in Hotel Vancouver, instantly their images would surface in front of my eyes. Then I took private lessons separately from Mr.and Mrs. Popov, the Russian Champions in Seatle and also started sketching Ballroom & Latin lessons. Now I have accumulated about 700 pages of freehand and Computer drawings. George Wu, AIA

  • @DanceScape I am glad that I had a conversation with you here in the YouTube. Because the Birth Order Book is for the readers to understand themselves better,so that they would have a better life to live. I am a first born, who was raised by a first born dominant mother, and then married a first born wife. I never had a life of my own until I was divorced, that was the year of 1984, when a tourist from Canada asked me to dance in Roseland, I stepped on her in a slow Foxtrot. Then I decided to...

  • @georgewu5 Dear Robert, The Birth Order is correct once again. Just change you into the first born and Beverly the second, that is exactly what Dr. Leman's research on the birth order book was proved useful. 知己知彼,百戰百勝!我非常羡慕你的際遇,你是新一代的華僑子弟的模範!香港出生 伍榮基 建築師 YouTube Dancewu net / George Wu, AIA

  • The reason why I brought up "the Birth order" here is because I have suffered enough in my life not to acknowledge this very useful research which has only been studied for the past 100 years. When looking for a dance partner or a spouse, check the Birth Order first before wasting your valuable time. it is my sincere advice ! ( I am a first born ; and I was married to a first born. the end of the story you guessed it right ! ) YouTube Dancewu net
