Final Scene McMurphy, a man with several assault convictions to his name, finds himself in jail once again. This time, the charge is statutory rape when it turns out that his girlfriend had lied about being eighteen, and was, in fact, fifteen (or, as McMurphy puts it, "fifteen going on thirty-five"). Rather than spend his time in jail, he convinces the guards that he's crazy enough to need psychiatric care and is sent to a hospital. He fits in frighteningly well, and his different point of view actually begins to cause some of the patients to progress. Nurse Ratched becomes his personal cross to bear as his resistance to the hospital routine gets on her nerves.

uh cuckoo's nest was inspired by ken kesey's real life experiences in mental hospitals such as these. there are even real hospital patients seen in the film. please do some research before getting snobby on people who like actual good movies, thanks.
All's Chief wanted to do was take Mack out of his misery like a real friend would, fucking hell of a movie! Especially to have Christopher Lloyd laugh and cheer his head off at the end, it was simply marvelous!
because that wasnt mac. after a lobotomy you no longer have a personality. they sever the connection between the frontal lobe and the rest of your brain. your just a walking body with basic instincts.
