Have an older program that won't run in Windows 7? Well here's a trick you may be able to use to get it to run in Windows 7 - and still think it's running in an older version of Windows. Give it a try!

  • Hello Quicksilver..

My guess is that you followed my instructions TOO closely. :)

This program is designed to run in Windows 95. That being the case, you'll need to select the compatibility setting to run the program in Windows 95 mode. Try that, and see if that helps.

    Take care..

AND REMEMBER - I'M CHANGING MY CHANNEL TO A NEW ONE NAMED "LeeWillFixIt". DON'T FORGET TO GO THERE FOR NEW VIDEOS. ENJOY!

  • but not work fir battle realms

  • The game I'm trying to play is 16-bit and that doesn't work with compatibility and my computer isn't eligible to use XP mode. I have a vista that works with the game, but it doesn't have sound so you won't know what to do :(

  • nicely done lee and very helpful

  • @MrStreetballer5 It's probable that your version of Windows 7 is 64bit. Get in touch with the webcam manufacturer and ask for a download of the 64bit driver.

  • So, some developers release patches for their games that support W7 ?

I always wonder, all the Steam and Source powered games seem to play fine on W7.

  • @leefuller2010 Hey i have an old webcam that works on like vista and xp but i just got it yesterday for my windows 7 and the driver for it says incompatible error etc... any suggestions to get it to work

  • i have this problem. im not speak english very well,, first i have windows 7 and i try to run battle realms, when i have to execute the application shows that " could not fin supported display mode " please i need a solution :)

soy muy malo en el ingles :s

  • I do what you explain but my C&C Red Alert installation gives me an error:

Program \??\J:\setup95\SETUP.EXE cannot be launched or runned, because it is not compatible with 64-bit Windows version.

Ask prongrams producer if theres 64-bit version of this game.

    ( there isn't =( )

    What should I do ???

I launched it from an .ISO-file using Daemon tools

my english isn't perfect at computer language so forgive me

P.S tell me if u know where to get C&C: red alert: aftermath / retaliation
