I have the Torch and my son has the Droid 2, so I can REALLY compare them side-by-side! They are both great phones. The Android OS wins - there are Android apps that make me very envious compared to the BB; but one thing I LOVE on the Storm, compared to the Droid 2, is the optical trackpad. Moving the cursor around the screen so smoothly is so much nicer than the arrows on the Droid 2. And sometimes you NEED a tactile device rather than touchscreen navigation.

I am inbetween probably the torch or the bold 2 thats coming out and a higher end android like the samsung galaxy s fascinate 4g.I want to have bbm, but I previously had an android phone and liked the flash browsing, apps, gps and maps, and customization.

can anyone tell me how the new blackberries would compare or how blackberry as a platform compares in these fields?

Blackberry sucks lol. I switched from the Torch to the Infuse. BEST decision I ever made!

RIM had to cut a lot of jobs because of Andriod and Iphone.

i love both my droid and my blackberry but only thing i hate about any bb is when i lose a call that sound i hear the three beeps or what ever that fucken drives me insane BB you really have to change that!!!! and web browser is SO SLOW with BBs but droids battery suck if your constantly on your phone like me
