    Of course, that's why it's such a big deal in the States that they actually won. Games aren't won strictly on skill, or the USSR would have taken the gold.

    NO man, that's not true; Team USA Won the Gold Medal after winning this match and another against finland.

    URSS Team won the silver medal.

    And yes this was in the final round or the medal's round as you said but it's still called the semi-finals.
