  • @seeba6 The orchestration is the original from Oldfield's friend David Bedford, with a touch here and there, but somewhat condensed, becasuse the original part1 are 20+ minutes long, BUT this is far better performance than the original record. Hisaishi is a wonderful director (much better than Bedford) and have a wonderful orchestra.

  • OMG! OMG! OMG! OMG! OMG! OMG!

  • @thewordofgord Funny. This feels like an orchestration by Hisaishi-sensei. There are passages here that have him stamped all over it, IMHO.

  • friends, with all due respect to the conductor here, this is most definitely David Bedford's original orchestration from the early seventies as per the vinyl recording on Virgin records, with Oldfield doing a lovely guitar solo towards the end of part two.

  • Awesome rendition, STANDING OVATION

  • Amazing performance....written by an even more amazing artist, Mr. Mike Oldfield! Thank you for posting this!

  • Sound like the original orchestral version. When I played the Oldfield record 30 some

years ago in classic club, everybody said this is not classic. Of course not, but it is excellent modern music. Now, time has come.

  • A brilliant and fitting tribute to Mike Oldfield's meisterwerk.

  • What I mean is the main theme? They have it in the beginning, but where's the end?

  • There's no melody to this. They should've bring back Exorcist instead of the remix. The remix was the climax, but there's the melody, unno?
