My personal opinion: Not a big and full voice, but she illuminated everything she sung. Her Butterfly and her Mimi (both alongside Jussi Bjoerling) are unforgetable.

Apart from the sheer beauty of her voice she is so touching, Tebaldis Mimi is vocally more fullbodied - look at the famed video with Bjoerling from 1956, what voices! - but in the unsurpassed recording with Bjoerling and Beecham (Boheme), De Los Angeles Mimi is so vulnerable, so sweet and shy, so magical, she IS Mimi...
