  • The Proboat is wet and the Aquacraft is setup to run very loose. Dont know what other setup differences there are but the Proboat looks a better setup for racing.

  • When it comes to racing we recommend the Super Vee because it turns much better and has a much higher top speed.

  • are you serious? the supervee is a vee hull, not a deep vee. i know how to trim and disburse weight. it is made to run high on the water, not to cut through waves. dont even come with a left side turn fin. also you have to relocate the antenna and tape the hatch anyhow, so the lock mechanism is useless.

  • Real racers do not put turn fins on the left side of there boats. It is useless for racing because races go clockwise, also balancing the boat does not mean making it a wave cutter, it still skips on top of the water but it does not flip. Lastly, Pro Boats magnetic hatch does not work. The Super Vee's canopy never falls off.

  • Better be a good swimmer if you go with a supervee. it handles chop like crap. good straight line speed on glass is all it's good for. sold mine. gonna get a fastech.much more stable , and the motor/esc can handle 5s lipo no problem! that'll smoke a supervee!

  • We get this all the time. If you know how to trim the Super Vee and you slide the batteries forward it handles waves fine. As owners of both boats we recommend the Super Vee over the Formula Fastech. The Formula cant turn well, it is slower, the Super Vee qualifies in way more races, and the Formula is simply low quality. The cowl comes off when you flip and the lid to the water tight box comes off as well.

  • my fastech was running on 12 cells and would blow both of those out of the water, no pun intended.

  • @ordeanmiddleschool Supervee

  • Whats better stock the supervee or the formula? I'm wondering wich one too buy thanks.

  • @lopapsdo 2-3 mph is huge in a race. That's enough to lap your adversaries in a race.

  • @ryanrummler I have both a Supervee and a UL-1. The UL-1 is faster but I like the way the Supervee can turn sharper. Mine handles chop very well. When racing you often set the trim tabs... at the limit of stability to attain higher top speeds. On the Supervee. When the tabs are set perfectly it has a high top speed and will handle moderate chop. You can set it up to ride lower but you sacrifice speed. I have the best of both worlds as I installed a UL-1 motor in my Supervee.

  • if you don't know how to cross wakes or trim a boat to run in chop then don't get the sv, half the fun for me is not flipping it, i don't think i would get any adrenaline rush if i knew that i pretty much could not flip my boat, tape the hatch any you'll be fine, my sv has been upside down for a half hour before i got it to shore and it was dry inside, to each his own but i enjoy the loose running sv, it took me a while to get used to it but i rarely flip it now

  • hehehe....

  • Why not just trim the boat? It handles fine if you do and is a lot faster and more fun to use than the Formula.
