Monster (Alpha/Echo)

I love Alpha to pieces. He's everything I want in an antagonist, with some extra crazy thrown in. ("Well I'm bluffing...THE POINT IS!") And it should come as no surprise to anyone that I think Alpha/Echo is OTP beyond reason.

WHY is there so little love for this ship?

I AGREE. I mean, I do see the cuteness of Echo/Paul, and Alpha in the season2 finale is awesome to me because of his sort of acceptance and encouragement for them...but Echo/Alpha is just...right. He is perfect for her, crazy or not. I so love it.

@tonks0 Alpha/Echo has so much chemistry, and--yes--sense of "rightness".

I do have to confess that I hate Paul, but...I have this big issue with the kind of people who are so blind in their "quests" that they can't see what they're doing wrong. And he broke countless laws in his attempt to find the Dollhouse. Plus, at least Alpha KNEW the girl he was obsessing over. (Yeah, Season Two didn't do anything to change my opinions on characters. XD)

@MadMadameMe I definitely initially hated Paul for his ruthlessness. And I did not comprehend how they ended up with any romance, it didn't feel right. The best thing about their pseudo-romance was the EPIC scene in which Alpha killed off Echo's former lovers to get to Paul..that was rather badass. But yes, I do agree with you. I think Paul was horrible to Mellie because of Echo. I guess I just plain appreciated the..I dunno..sex appeal? of Alpha's character. Alpha/Echo was hot. =)

@tonks0 All of Alpha's psycho rampages were awesome. Alpha and Echo were both inherently special, and therefore the must belong together. And they're hawt. XD

I think the episode that got to me most was Man on the Street, when Paul came home and was pissed that he "almost caught a bad guy", when he didn't even realize that Miner was right in saying that HE would have been the one arrested. I could never get over that hypocrisy.

Paul and Mellie would have been so adorable, though.

@MadMadameMe Hahahaha yes! When he imprinted her with Chrystal and she said, "Oh I know you," and kissed him, I just squealed inside. I wish it could have been Echo instead of "Chrystal". =D Yeah, some of Paul's decisions had me almost wishing he was arrested, though it worked in the long run...but I was really pissed when he fed Senator Perrin the story in season 2. He just wouldn't be healpful..and I thought Mellie was so good for him. Her death broke my heart. Paul/Mellie, Alpha/Echo. ;)
