1MIN TEASER: Girls' Generation 소녀시대 - Hoot 훗 (Robotaki Remix)

So, it's a crappy video quality because Vegas Pro keeps crashing when I use HD (argh), and the audio's slightly distorted, but I finally got some time to work on this track tonight!! You'll notice it sounds different from how I originally predicted it to be, but that's because I needed to change it according to the way Hoot actually turned out. With that in mind, there will be some who preferred the original idea to this, and my only response is that I hope I can make you enjoy a new form of the song ^^. As well, I'm planning to get some nice vocals to cover over top the ones I'm using right now to make the vocals just a bit clearer. Anyway, hate to be a tease second time around, but I didn't want people to get antsy and to think I'd forgotten about this! Hopefully for the final I can have a legitimate video haha.

Well crap, seems there will be a delay like many of you called. Sorry I haven't put this thing out yet. Seriously, my Anatomy and Cell Biology faculty and McGill is chewing holes out of my time and I've only had sporadic pockets throughout the days to work on this, It's slowly but surely getting finished though. Got a meaty bass bridge of original material for ya in the final!

The 1st teaser had a really amazing retro house feel.

But this?... Ummm I'm not really loving it, which surprised me because i love almost all you work. I guess i will wait till the full version comes out. I don't want to saying something i might regret later :P

@smellyface101 No worries. There are a lot of things that'll be worked on from this version so hopefully you'll dig that. (Plus I held back on giving away some juicy stuffs!) It's in the same direction as my 2nd Genie mix so if that hit well, (Y). One thing that's odd though is that the audio compression is really lackluster on YouTube this time around which is unfortunate since I really depend on the build of tension using stereo + mono. Last, don't have regrets on your own musical opinons! :)

I seriously hate you. Every time you come out with something new you make me feel like my life is such a failure. I'm 19 too but I could never do shit like this and college. Somehow you manage to do both. As if watching some of the girls in 소녀시대 who are also my age doesn't already make me feel like a failure in more ways than one.

@thatprettyreddress Aw come on mate! Don't feel that way! Everyone has their own hobbies and lives - mine's just led me to music as a hobby. As far as college is concerned, I'm actually struggling quite a lot (as some of the marks are showing haha). You aren't a failure as long as you do what you love, or are in the process of trying to find what that at is. I started this whole thing only because I was (and am lol) a geek and liked video game music so much that I wanted to mix it. chin up :)

I'm the one you're referring to when you say 'there will be someone who prefers the original to this'. This one's great as well, but I was hoping for your remix to sound similar to the prediction teaser you made a few weeks ago.

@SunlitHearts Ah sorry to let ya down in that regard. The harmonies I used in the original simply don't work with the way the verses ended out to be. However, since the track is still in the process of being made, I can have some sort of bridge as a sort of "homage" to the initial prediction if that's cool haha. There's also a very high chance that I'll be collaborating with *someone* on some sort of 2nd mix since we've been discussing it with him over the past month. Thanks for the listen! :)
