To be fair, this AC was overloaded but it was done in a controlled manner; type certification has to be done in stages to determine what the overload capability actually is in quite narrowly-defined circumstances, and this was one of those trials. The 380 is an awesome beast, and its lifting capability is monstrous; however limits have to be set, and this is the way those limits were arrived at.

no sorry u can tell by its wings it was overweight. and ive been on boeing 747's to know that takeoff was harder to lift and weighed alot more, its also slower.

@ceco150495 1) It looks slow, when in fact it's probably moving quicker than the "average". 2) There must be a lot of pilots out of their minds as it happens everyday... just many won't talk about it/admit it.

It's not slow because it's overweight, it's slow because the A/C is huge. Do you people know rats about aviation? No pilot in his right mind would takeoff in a plane which is overweight. And you can clearly see it was not, separating from the ground so early.
