I graduated from Waseda many years ago. It is a great school. Have you seen rodgerswan's video? He attended Keio, which is the rival school to Waseda, for 2007-2008 school year and documented it on youtube videos. He is a good freind of cooney & sam, you should check them out. Main campus of Waseda is located in the convenient area, not too far from Kagurazaka, which is cooney's favorite place. I am sure you will enjoy the life there. Good luck, Genki de Ganbatte!

We'll be in Japan at the same time! I'll be in Yokohama, so just a little bit outside of Tokyo.

I got the JASSO scholarship when I studied abroad in Kumamoto, and I'm sure you'll get it! It's really good.

I know exactly how you feel. I did the same thing when I was going there in general and was like....obessive with youtube videos trying to find anything on it. But hey, don't worry about it too much. I think you'll do just fine. For the most part you pick up a lot of language when you go as long as you try. Oh and I'll proabably see ya next year. I got into the SILS program for 4 years at Waseda, though I'll be a freshman. But hey, still, hope to see ya there.

Oh my god! Your only knowledge of Japan comes from me and Sam? You are totally screwed dude. Hee hee "TkyoSam the other side." Hell, Sam is the other 4/5ths. Thats fantastic. But I jest. let me say, dont worry about the language thing. I knew ZERO japanese when I got here, and I only got up to Genki 2 after a few years living here. You'll be fine, just keep an open mind, enjoy it, and take some video cause it goes fast.
