The Making of the song "A Wonderful Feeling"

More music from http://www.galxygirl.com This rather simple song was created with Reason 4, a MIDI sequencer that has a virtual rack of unlimited instruments, including samplers, drum machines, synthesizers, effects and mastering tools.

In addition to being able to play real world instruments and vocals via the samplers, it also syncs to other music programs that support digital audio recording. That combination is about all I would ever want.

I used to own $10-$15,000 worth of hardware and MIDI gear in my home studio, but this is no longer necessary with computers and the virtualization of sound sources. Unlike the real world, the signal path does not suffer from noise or glitches. The reverb in Reason is considered as good as the best hardware reverbs available. It's an amazing program designed to make music creation affordable.

Many other musicians have similarly dumped their racks of gear and keyboards in favor of Reason. Music made with Reason frequently appears on TV shows, film and the radio. It is also used in live concert performances.

My song and album are available on iTunes. "The Magic of Hyacinth" EP was made entirely with Reason. Some of my other video soundtracks here were made with Reason synced with Garageband.
