"The Opera Ghost really existed. He was not, as was long believed, a creature of the imagination of the artists, the superstition of the mangers, or a product of the absurd and impressionable brains of the young ladies of the ballet.... Yes, he existed in flesh and blood...." (Gaston Leroux - "The Phantom of the Opera")

  • What was the ending scenes from? I don't recognize it. Or the one fwith the blonde lady who hides behind that pillar when she runs from . . . well, honestly I'm not sure who she's running from. To anyone who knows, could you please inform me too? I'd appreciate it!

  • The ending scene, with the singing, is from the 1989 version of PotO, and the scenes with the blonde lady, Christine, are from the 1990 version, and she is running from the Phantom, a very thrilling scene!

I'm quite certain that both versions can be found here on YouTube if you'd like to watch them :)

  • ok, thank you so much that really helped the search! lol I wasn't getting anywhere too quickly! I appreciate it!! : D

  • You're welcome ^_^

  • Why put it in past tense?

  • Are you referring to the title, "The Opera Ghost really existed"? I used that because it is the opening line from Leroux's "The Phantom of the Opera" ^^

  • Very, Very cool. Well done.

  • the novel is based on fact though

  • WOW I am obssessed with POTO (namely Gaston Leroux's original novel and ALW's stage production) and i can't believe there's a film verison i havent seen...

PLEASE tell me which version that is with the blonde chick in the blue dress and hair let down?

It'd be nice if a film version got the story accurate for once...

  • Its Lacrimosa on the last one on the list.

  • Yeah, in the NOVEL.... Goodness. Everyone is so ignorant when it comes to this.
