  • @deFrank412 - Sure, clone to as many disks as like but you can only clone to one disk at a time. You will just have to repeat the clone process on each disk.

  • PLEASE HELP!! I cloned my laptop hard drive to my desktop hard drive and everything is OK but the keyboard and mouse don't work....What should i do?

P.S the keyboard and mouse are functioning properly, and work in other machines

  • @JordyBT

Which operating system are you using? Your problem is with drivers. You need to install the mouse & keyboard drivers from your operating system disk.

  • can i use acronis in lets say i have 500gb of hard disk and want to transfer my files to my new 1tb hard disk?

  • @simonsex - Yes, theres a feature under tools called "clone disk" that will do this for you. It will basically re-write the partition from your old disk to your new disk

  • @JordyBT: Dude, i just wanna ask if it's possible to clone a disk to multiple destination disks, say 2 or 3 disks? By the way, I have an acronis'10 but i haven't tried cloning to multiple destination disks. Thanks in advance...

  • @da44e Try XXCLONE it works great on XP. I tried this peice of shit (Acronis) and the new drive will not boot. I have windows 7 and unfortunately, XXCLONE does not support it.....yet!

  • @mrcheekschico Ahh, thanks. I guess that was the problem I had. I should have done a partition and install there. Well, was worth the try and next time I will know :D. Didnt take that much time to install new OS manually so it's okay. I got error that windows cant start because of change in system or something. Guess that's pretty logical lol. Anyway, I want to thank you a lot for all your help and your explanations. Cheers!

  • @da44e - As long as you dont disrupt / write over the operating system that acronis is installed on, then it shouldnt matter if its on the same disk.

As for windows not starting. What error does it give? what problem shows up? I would first check the boot sequence on the bios to make sure the disk of partition (F:) is first boot device. If its a problem with windows, run a repair on the OS boot files using the OS disk to repair.
