Actually in Greece 1st of November is the day of two saints only.... Kosmas and Damianos..... the all saints day is another day......
But it was so good that i saw my sweet man and heard the other one! Thank you!

that's because Greece is orthodox and the Holy days are often on different dates. take care !

Some people in the US celebrate All Saints day or the Day of the Dead but it is mostly immigrants celebrating the Day of the Dead.
It is sort of misunderstood but most holidays are anymore.

It is really a catholic holiday since protestants don't pray to the dead or saints... I guess that is why itis more european than american...

I believe that my parents' parents back in Austria may have celebrated All Saints Day, but while I was growing up we never did... My mother still goes to Catholic church almost every Sunday, but she never insisted that we go. I think it was because my father wasn't very religious, and I'm glad I was allowed to choose for myself...
Still, when there is an opportunity to visit our dead we go and visit, but it can be any day of the year...

it is celebrated in Austria. I love visiting my ancestors tombs but I'm not into praying to them... my christianity is a mixture of the different traditions that I know but I'm rather anti-clerical in a way... I don't like people telling me how to believe in a close minded way...
