Idearc Media Corp., publisher of the Verizon Yellow Pages and home to Superpages.com(R), introduces the Idearc Media brand today with two 30-second national cable television commercials. The commercials, entitled "Storybook," present the Idearc Media brand by underscoring the connection between the company that spun-off from Verizon Communications and the established brand equity of Verizon Yellow Pages and Superpages.com. The commercials rotate for 10 weeks and will be seen by more than 89 million people nationwide. (Video: Business Wire)
You have no idea what your talking about. I'm a rep for idearc and we have tracked ads by calls in excess of over 200 calls in a month and thats just 1 ad. The book works. The 80% of people online has nothing to do with actual business transactions. The book is a direct form of advertising which makes it most effective because people that pick it up are in need of service.

Verizon owns 55% of Idearc Media. All Idearc offices are in Verizon owned buildings.

I wanted it as soon as I saw it :D
If its Goldfrapp, the best I could come up with was Strict Machine, or Strict Machine Remix :S

actually u are wrong..MUCH MUCH more? I work for Idearc..and I know both sides of the house. 20-30 years? Bro look around...its dead..80% of the US is online every day..and 50% of those are using online resources to find businesses that they are seeking. You must be 60 years plus??

Believe it or not, people still use the phone book MUCH MUCH more than online to make their buying decisions, and it will be another
20-30 years before the phone book even starts becoming obsolete.

Verizon has always completely sucked at selling Yellow Pages. Contracting it to IDEARC is probably a smart move for them. They were originally thinking about getting out of the Yellow Pages business altogether. Contracting to IDEARC must be their last ditch effort to stay in the game while Yellow Pages still provides viable revenue.
