Warcraft 3 on the Vaio P - Quick Install and Gameplay

Someone asked to see about Warcraft III on Vaio P, Figured I'd give it a shot :)

-- Instructions --
1. Get a copy of the .iso file if you don't have the optional disk drive for the Vaio P.
2. Go ahead and go to Blizzard Entertainment's website and download the full 1.3 patch to allow for playing without the CD.
3. Download and install Daemon Tools Lite edition and mount the .iso file.
4. Navigate to the disk folder and run Setup
5. After the install is done, go ahead and exit the game.
6. Lastly, Run the patch that you downloaded from Blizzard Entertainment's site and the game should start.

---- Extra Tips ----
If you'd like to improve performance, try right clicking the shortcut icon and changing the compatibility mode to windows XP SP2, disable themes and desktop composition.

Also, Make sure that you have done the following to avoid stretching:

1. Open Control Panel
2. Click the option "Additional Options" (Note, this is not in classic view)
3. Click Intel :Ultra Mobile GMA Driver
4. In the window that opens, Click Display Settings on the left side.
5. Afterwards, click Aspect Ratio Options
6. Make sure that Maintain Aspect Ratio is checked, to avoid stretching.
7. Click Ok, then Click Apply in the other window.

You're done!

my bad my last one isnt my issue i cant seem to mount the iso cause i cant find it... any help

hey i have the game downloaded from online no cd but when i go to run the patch this instantly pops up "Blizzard PrePatch v2.70 compiled on Jul 7 2003

This program patches Warcraft 3 Log created at 8:42 pm on 05/13/2010 ERROR: unable to create file 'C:\Program Files (x86)\Warcraft III\BNUpdate.exe Access is denied. RESULT: Prepatch failed

@XxSSJ5GogetaxX Try running as administrator; it's likely that your permission settings are a bit too strict, and it can't properly patch the file.

Additionally, try running in compatibility mode for XP after doing the above.

@alricky I'd probably recommend reinstalling; check your network connection and make sure that's working.. something has to be be messed up for that to happen.

when i try to download patches, they get to 99 and freeze lol...any help?
