goes directly to Restaurant De Kas, which is located in the heart of Amsterdam. De Kas, which means green house in Dutch, is actually a restaurant built inside of an working green house complex! We meet owner Gert Jan who takes us on a tour of De Kas, showing us all the fresh, organic veggies, herbs and produce that comes from their indoor and outdoor gardens. Then we head up north of Amsterdam to visit
Walter on the De Kas organic farm, where he shows us how all the fresh and organic veggies are produced and readied for serving the next day at the restaurant. We top this episode off with a Beet Root Tart recipe prepared by Chef Martijn inside De Kas....
