Playing music since he was 14, Ithaca musician and songwriter Richie Stearns visits the WSKG stage this week. Influenced by artists like Lou Reed, Bob Marley, the Beatles, the Stones, Doc Watson, Jimmy Rogers, Hank Williams and the Skillet Lickers, Richie performed his style of banjo music in bands such as The Horse Flies and Donna the Buffalo. Over his career, Richie has been privileged to open for musicians like banjo virtuoso Bela Fleck and 10,000 Maniacs.
