This Allegro it make alot of sense. Imagine how the eighteenths / sixteens should come after another in a faster tempo. The movements tempo depends always on the musical level of understanding of soloist.

If they play the allegro movement this slowly, imagine how the adagio part must sound.

It's not "too slow". From my point of view it's very clear interpretation. It's slower than others, but it makes a lot of sense.

Ohhhhh........perfection. Although I tend to appreciate his brother Ralph's sound more, this recording with Harold is just spectacular - one of my favorite pieces by two of the best musicians to play it!
