The then World Champion, Garry Kasparov, shocked the world by playing the Dragon against now World Champion, Viswanathan Anand. This instructive game demonstrates the importance of calculating precisely, and looking at ALL of your opponent's possible defenses (no matter how convoluted they may appear).

  • Again & again as many of my previous comments, play state which colour is which in the 1st place?

  • @IpMan19

    Chess games are titled:

White Pieces - Black Pieces (year in which the game took place)

    So

    Anand - Kasparov (1995)

means that Anand was playing white, Kasparov is playing black, and the game was played in 1995.

  • Thanks, I appreciate the feedback!

  • This is one of my favourite games. The end combination is just great. I wish there was still someone playing attacking chess in today's game.

  • That move Was just brilliant!

  • kasparov shows his super skills with Rxc7!

  • dude i think your ability to make and provide commentary to youtube videos is extraordinarily poor.

  • this is a very good and fun video. helps my tactics, would love to play this type tactic at the club

  • Anand very easily didnt foresee 31... RxC2 because its not so obvious.
