Rolf charms the class as they make some still life paintings, and Ronnie and Rolf make a masterpiece together.

  • Love him every time I see him on tv or otherwise.A man who has a zest for life and I love his passion especially when you see a tear in his eye. A great Aussie ICON who, when he leaves this world, it will a lesser place without him.

  • Rolf's a legend. Just a legend.

  • @andrewsorohan There's 'demonstrating' with your own example and there is 'taking over' the learners own work. Art attracts those with an 'Activitist' learnering style, who prefer hands on learning / doing it themselves - not take the tools from the learner and finish their work which is what Rolf is doing. At the end he signed his own students work, this is a travesty of learning imo. Taking over like this is not empowering the learner, this is not learning, this is stroking ones ego.

  • I love Rolfe! Cartoon time was awesome, what a great programme that was. The days when telly was good.

  • @OrdoPsykana That's bull. Demonstrative teaching is not only a perfectly valid technique it's an amazingly effective technique in art and painting. How the hell was that kid going to learn how to pull something out of the canvas if the teacher didn't give him the tools? In teaching art you HAVE to demonstrate, ON people's work so they can SEE what a difference simple learned techniques can have.

  • Rolf Harris: Legend

  • Having the teacher do it for you is not learning. A teachers role in learning is to 'facilitate' the learner to find their own solution using their own resources, and above all else the teacher must never pollute the learning by taking over the creative aspects of it... as much as I respect Rolf Harris, this is not REAL education at all.

  • i like the calm in his voice!

  • Rolf keeps a vigilant eye over my work every night as I usually have a recording of Rolf on Art playing on video. They're episodes I've seen countless times but just to hear him enthusing and catch a glimpse of him painting with passion in the corner of the room inspires me on with my projects. At the end of each session I jokingly lift my canvas off the easel and show it to the screen and say "Well, what do you think Rolf?", and imagine he's smiling in approval.

  • @marshalllucky what about the people who have manners but just didnt get the grades they wanted?
