@SwayNV Consumer Guide got 8.5 seconds for the automatic Prelude.... -_- I am thinking about getting an auto(because I found one for a low price) but if it's not faster than my Mazda idk about getting it. I have a 0-60 vid if you want to see how fast it is. They reliable cars ?

@98MAzdaMilleniaS Preludes are very reliable, I had mine for 5 years and it only broke twice, both minor things, slave cylinder and an alternator. What year? What motor? An h22 shouldn't be that slow... beware of Auto trannys... they were the first Triptronic transmissions and were known to have some issues... Mine was a 5 spd. But It's gone, now I drive a 6spd RSX type S =)

@98MAzdaMilleniaS THey also tested the Lexus IS350 models at 5.5 seconds, when it has usually been quoted closer to 5.0.

The people at Consumer Guide, are not serious (performance) enthusiasts, and often provide very conservative performance estimates. --Autocar tested the 185hp variant (confined to Europe), *with the sportshift mode*, and got a 60 time of 7.9 seconds. See the data at Autozine.org. With 15 extra hp, you'll find in the U.S models, one should expect 60 mph closer to 7.5, with SS. 6.7 , with the manual trans.
