Mexican workers good for GA, so there are no other hispanics in GA other than Mexicans? i mean come on please how ignorant was that. Can anyone tell me why politicians use illegal immigration as a hook to atract voters? don't tell they commited a crime by crossing the border illegaly becuase we all know that, don't tell me that illegal aliens are costing over a billion dollars yearly, its because they dont pay taxes, FORCE THEM to pay their share

In theory (and in practice), couldn't those tax cuts be used to hire Mexicans or for matter any Hispanic, legal or illegal just the same as any American? Businesses hire "Mexicans" or anyone for that matter, because they want the most labor for the least amount of money and since many Hispanics, once again, legal and illegal, work harder for less money, they tend to get hired more. Well done Deal. Kudos for using race-baiting and scare tactics when you could have made the same point without it.

@3monkeysmomma it's OUR fault for riding the wave, getting greedy, and over-building. That happens when you base your entire existence on pure capitalism with big business running the country with NO regulation. If the loan origination industry had just a 'little' but of regulation, we wouldn't be in the mess. But no; we'll just blame the Mexicans on our stupidity... It's easier, right?

@3monkeysmomma I personally understand his 'intent', but the delivery is simply racist. People have such short terms memories and Deal is using the hate of 'brown people' to his advantage. When we were riding the wave of the housing boom, there were way more labor jobs then we had people to fill them. We courted Mexican workers to handle the jobs that we couldn't fill. NOW, the the boom is over; we're trying to BLAME an entire heritage for our unemployment rate? Come on!

@daryldarockstar I think the point is, when you bring workers in from anywhere, legal or illegal, they end up competing with locals for limited jobs. At the time, when Barnes was Gov. it probably wasn't a bad idea to import (legal) labor when we were at 4.5% unemployment nationally. Now of course it would be disasterous.

Don't think it was mean to to be racist.

Personally, I don't understand why we don't make inmates work and offset the cost of their incarceration.

ummm... this commercial didn't mention 'illegals'... . You do realize that there are millions of LEGAL Mexican workers here in the U.S,; right? Just like there are millions of legal workers from other countries (even European countries and Canada) here in the U.S. This was just a blanket statement about ALL Mexican workers. Sounds racist to me...
