Kashgar called 'Land of Uyghur' the life and culture of Uyghurs are being destroyed by the hegira of Hans. Cityscape of the Silkroad is also being changed into a totally different style.Preservationists say the demolition of the Old City section of Kashgar is a blow to Islamic and Uighur culture. Hundred families already have been moved from Kashgars Old City, the best-preserved example of a traditional Islamic city to be found anywhere in central Asia, as the architect and historian, Kashgar though is not a typical Chinese city...

The Uyghurs should be allowed to live the way they want to, this is wrong and is robbing them of their history and culture...i feel for the Uyghurs.
