@DzoGavert : True, but as an adult watching Super Sentai, it is clearly still a children's show at heart. I believe children in general can handle the situations depicted in the show. It's just that America was founded on strict Christianity and we shelter children from the cruelties of life everyday.

Im talking in European/American standards on what is for children and what not. Just because something is for children in another country doesnt mean its valid in another. We are not Japanese...

@DzoGavert : That is wrong. Even the "Super Sentai" is still a kids show, and all the swear words added in were done by subbers. The blood and the violence are okay to show to Japanese children as well as having serious topics. Unlike America, Japan doesn't shelter kids from real life issues. It's still clearly a childrens show. Super Sentai. Anyone who says otherwise, is being in-denial.

Personally, I'd like to see a muh darker more violent version of Power Rangers geared to us adult viewers. But, we'll probably never get that since the show is geared towards children. Oh well its still a cool idea.

There's already something like that for you. It's called "Super Sentai" series which is the original material of Power Rangers to begin with. First Power Rangers were in fact collected footage from their 16th series. First Super Sentai series were quite serious series about fighting terrorism for example.
