Kerry O'Brien loses it on Aussie TV

unlike the states, where its left v right to the extreme, its a LOT more subtle here. O'Brien is slightly left and u get that from a fair few. I mean, Laurie Oakes being the "No 1" political man- according to chn9 is scary, he's left of left. Maxine McKew's work in TV should be viewed with a grain of salt in hind sight. I'm just glad we live in a country where its not divided down the middle and plenty of ppl change from labor to liberal or vice versa. This has nothing on O'Reilly by the way lol

@lazerweb The ABC is apolitical.
if it does journalism well being critical of power in society it might appear to be left, but it's not. the board of directors can be jailed for that.

@ModernWarfare002 It's not left wing. It's just not as right wing as the others.
-
@ModernWarfare002 I think it's pretty neutral really, it's just that every other news channel is so right wing.
-
No influence hey ? I like Kerry, but to say the ABC has no influence from outsiders as an entity is like saying no-one cheats
-
@lazerweb I disagree!

@ModernWarfare002 only need to take one look at the abc board to see that its not a left wing broadcaster at all. it just doesnt pander (that often), and people often confuse factual programming with some kind of 'left wing bias'.

The guy from Q and A is the Lebron James of interviewers.

@ModernWarfare002 No they aren't. ABC is government funded, and both the major political parties in Australia are right wing. ABC is certainly not left wing: remember when they axed The Glass House after it had been their most successful show because of government pressure? Left wing my ass.
ABC is a left wing broadcaster
