I thought I should put this up because I really hold pride in the anthem. Sadly I couldn't use the strings in the Antiphonal section because the church has yet to have it tuned...(which should be taken care of soon). But I'm just glad it still works. Performance wise I did ok, there were some things I wish I had done such as use the swells for phrasing more, I suppose I'll get on that for next time. Anyway, rate it even if you hate it!

  • Fabulous Brad!! That was an exceptional performance of a your very stirring anthem! The G&W packs a powerful sound and you manage to make it sound its best! You are an awesome, accomplished organist!! Best wishes in your studies of music composition, I have no doubt you will do well! Merry Christmas to you and your family. May it bring Peace and Joy. Roy

  • Thank you very much, I wish you and your family a great Christmas as well! I'm still surprised I didn't buff the pedal parts completely(though they weren't exactly difficult, but I was wearing for a lack of a better term cowboy boots)... lol

  • Wow, cowboy boots! I hope you removed your spurs!! Sorry! That's what I like about you young aspiring organists, you're not afraid to do it your way. I'm sure there are some purists that would take offence but it's the music you perform that delights me. Just be you and focus on your inspiration from the music. Love your added colour at 1:00 minute over the strings?? The pedal work is great as always. Are you home for the holidays? Again, thanks for this awesome post!! Best of the season, Roy

  • I'm home till school starts back up. The boots really weren't a planned thing, haha. I just so happened I had the time, I felt like playing, and I just so happened to be wearing boots! I was surprised that they didn't feel too awkward, though they made heel-toe easier. And for those "purists", I say they can shove those stupid moccasin things up their ***es sideways. If they feel they are more adequate just because they wear those stupid things, I suppose its their own right, but still... lol

  • Absolutely an awesome and stirring performance!

  • Hi Brad,

Any chance of a Christmas piece post while you're home? O Come all Yea Faithful, Hark the Hearld, Joy to the World - or any of your choice. Boots or no boots I don't care, I just admire your playing. Merry Christmas, Roy

  • Awesome! I like this arrangement, it's unique in a good way :P
