  • That´s the way brazilian crowds behave: they always clap the athletes no matter if the presentation was good or not, because they understand that the athlete need incentive. They are not clapping the mistake. They are clapping her effort. It´s something very particular of the brazilian sports crowds that most foreigners do not understand.

  • i'm brazilian, and i really wanted to agree with you, but that's not true. the crowd is celebration cheng's mistake, and that's so sad for me to admit. :/ most of the brazilians don't know the sport, don't know how unpolite this is. :/

  • @Rogerioapsandrade they were remarcebly quiet after her second pass.....quite an efford after such a double-double..........

  • @Rogerioapsandrade doesn't matter if they were clapping or not, they were shouting, wich means, celebrating. don't you remember the pan am gamens in 07? the crowd was unpolite like this, and even the brasilian gymnasts complained.

  • @alexeacamarasecreta

Did you at least notice that people were actually clapping ? If they were commemmorating the mistake they would not clap. After that it was clear that they the audience felt embarrassed by themselves after that, so much that they stopped reacting to her exercises, something they did to every athlete and every move until then.

  • @Rogerioapsandrade

I am not shure if that is true becaue on the other "good" tumbles they were very quiet.

  • @ItsNastiaFan101 i couldn't agree more with you, when argentinian gymnasts moved to beam the crowd started booing them...on FX finals they booed shawn johnson's routine! i think brazil is not the right place for do an olympic games.

  • I saw a man on a yellow shirt were jumping up and down after Cheng's fall

  • quem erra? nao entendi o que vc falou, dá pra voltar pra escola? valeu.
