  • I remember as a kid waiting till 10:30 at night to watch the Big Bad B's of the 70's play their games on channel 38. I wish I could find someone who had complete games from around this time. I've contacted 38 but they've told me they are property of The NHL and cannot be released without their permission. So they have them but won't release them! That sucks for us B's fans, esp. from this great era of hockey. What a time it was! Got me on the pond in 10 degree weather playing hockey!

  • @5inthehole This is a problem/ This episode from Boston cable channel about seasons 69/70 and 71/72 seasons. They are used a lot of fragments from full games but never allow to show it's complete. The same about another great teams. For example Black Hawks also many complete games they are have from 60-early 70's. Especially this for Habs- they are have a huge bank of games since 1953 but not want to make channel similar Leafs TV. Alas. But nevereless let's go Habs! as an old I'm

  • this is from the 68-69 season.

  • no this 69/70 this style uniform of seals was only 69-70 season and in this team def. Howell he plyed for Seals since 1969-70

  • @werqa123 These video's were apart of a special celebrating the Bruins 1969-70 Stanley Cup Years. They showed segments to most of the games (goals, fights, great saves ect.) from that season that were originally aired on Channel 38 Boston.

  • @5inthehole I know and said the almost the same as an answer of question from one spect

  • I remember growing up in the Ottawa Valley back in the 60's.I would listen to the Canadiens playing either L.A. or Oakland like at 1:00 in the morning on a school night with my transister radio under the blankets with my little white earplug in my ear.Man,the memories..

  • The franchise has finally settled down, after decades of inconsistency. Known as the Oakland Seals, the California Seals and then finally, the California Golden Seals. They were moved to Cleveland to become the Barons. About a year later, they merged with the Minnesota North Stars, who eventually moved to Dallas.

  • @werqa123 OK- Still wish I could buy complete games. Funny, sometimes The Seals, who, gererally, sucked, put up a few good games in Oakland. I remembered one game in Oakland when The B's started the game like a team with a hangover and quickly was behind 5-1. Orr lit a fire under everyones ass during the break and the B's ended up winning 8-6! The games vs The Kings were always a slaughterhouse for The B's.

  • @hoosierlooker yes he did.

  • @RushTabConner that's right

  • Was the play by play announcer Don Earle and didn't he later announce for the Flyers?

  • @wrappindude thats a great memory...the Oakland Seals vs. the Leafs was the first game I ever watched in color on my uncles big magnavox TV...back when TV's and stereos were furniture.
