The East London Lives 2012 digital archive is a research project to document the changes in East London surrounding the hosting of the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games. Its content will be based on research in each of the five Olympic host boroughs, Greenwich, Hackney, Newham, Tower Hamlets and Waltham Forest.

In these focus groups we asked a series of questions related to community development. We also asked for thoughts on how any changes in the local area may be affecting participants lives and how they might engage with them.

This participant was filmed whilst driving his black cab around the Olympic site, he gives a detailed view gathered from the opinions of his passengers both positive and negative.

Question: What type of people visits this area

Question: What is this thing people are most excited about having the Olympics here?

Question: Do you remember back to 2005 when it was announced London had won the bid?

Question: Can you remember people commenting about it?

Question: Would you say now the mix has changed?
