Ummm... what southern accent? Sounds like a yuppie yankee to me
-
The accent is subtle, but it's there. It's not "mocking," it's just a (fairly stupid) strategy to "connect" better with specific demographics.
-
sounded kind of Yankee to me, but I'm from Dallas

@kalows13 They mock the people they are talking to. I hate these phoneys, and I wish the people would get up and throw tomatoes at them. It's freaking insulting as crap.
-
@Wierdgirl5834 It is as subtle as a Sherman Tank running over a can of Pringles. It is not exactly Southern, not exactly black, but what it is is the language of Pandering... saying what you believe your listener wants to hear, in the way you think your listener would like to hear it. The audience reaction in the clip, which wasn't exactly hissing and booing, is unfortunate. It is probable that until she read it in the paper, our Hill didn't understand her own cynicism.

it's not over the top, it's slight and a little subtle
-
still clearing house hillary? what BS they sold
-
thats bullshit

Just about every state has a "country" accent, whether it be southern or not. Hell, even NY has a country side, you just gotta go out towards the rural side.
I didn't notice a southern accent. :\ Probably because I live in the deep south?

You know, people say shit like that when most of them hardly know what they're talking about.
