No, actually it's the end of a trilogy. It began with Sympathy for Mr Vengeance, then Oldboy, and then this one. I haven't watched the first one but Oldboy is the most unsettling. This one is okay. Many Korean films are actually very well-made. Go rent them when you can. Incidentally, why not also check out a European trilogy of the film The Pusher.
