Sims 1 music was mature, Sims 2/3 was more made for kids and the mainstream.

Sims 1 + 3 were the best IMO, 2 not as good. For music though, Sims 1 wins hands down, particular this song Latin 4, plus Latin 2. Music got too cheesy in Sims 2 + 3 IMO.
