Durango Kid Serial ('B') Western starring Charles Starrett and Smiley Burnette. 57 of these were made between 1940 and 1952.

  • I wondered whether he was Carol Burnett's father,but of course rhe spelling doesn't match.

    I think the 'resemblance' comes from vaudeville...

  • I live in the hometown of Charles Starrett -- Athol, Mass. His flicks used to screen at the York Theater and the Capitol Theater back in the day. They are gone now. However, his relatives still operate the L.S. Starrett Co., which manfactures precision tools.

  • Good to see ole Durango again even if it's just a clip. Smiley Burnette wrote many of the songs he did in these films. He was very popular with the kids of the Saturday matinee.
