http://www.begbucks.com Here is my formally Honda eu2000i generator running. These only start when THEY want to ~ NOT when you need them to fire up. (it has a slight miss likely due to older gas even though I use Sta-Bill fuel stabilizer, perhaps the fuel filter has a slight clog, again it's slight, barley noticeable but didn't happen when new though I seldom use this (besides regular maintenance), & while I was able to run my 625 Watt, 5000 BTU AC in the summer (infact twins but only if they didn't surge up together at the same time) because of the following cons overall I give these gennys a -1 out of 5

The eco throttle causes the engine to run rich which leads gummed valves so I don't recommend using it, it's still loud and not as quite as hyped up to be, further those stated 46.3 Lbs. (more like 52.52 w/ gas) still make my muscles hurt (though I'm a wimp), I have yet to test longevity.

  • i use one of these for work for the last 4 years...the best around.....an by the way, you've got the the power switch on,way its running loud.turn the bottom down to normal running mode ,then its not loud ,other then that,,recommond to anyone.

  • @FARQPIG You are lucky. my experience was ahh well #@$%! perhaps due to the ethanol in gas

But yes I just wanted to demonstrate the Eco off.

  • I'm a salesman a Braschs cairns we stock all Honda generators

These machines are great quiet fuel efficient great warranty well built and easy to start

When looking at buying either a yammy or a Honda consider that

Parts for the Honda are much easier to get if you live in rural areas like small town most small towns have Honda dealers unlike the yammy depending where you live

    Equally both good machines tho

Also Yamaha is slightly over priced

    Get the Honda ! :)

  • @BEASTDRIVER10 Indeed..

  • I had loan of the EU1000 version, and a sweeter generator you'll never find. Easy on fuel, and solid. As to exhaust noise, point it away from the house. You'll hear more whir than engine..

  • @dgr8zod Very true, other than the problematic main switch when humid I can't complain.

  • @SpatialAnomoly Oh I see much like a sound accentuated cabinet, that might just be the thing

  • Ok thanks ..I personally was thinking of a sleek external padded housing utilising compressed muffling materials working with maybe an extension, like you mentioned, to redirect the exhuast, again figuring out the correct materials to use. Most helpful

  • @SpatialAnomoly Not that I know off (but I am working on a extended muffler/ smoke stack exhaust that should divert the fumes and help silence the genny further

  • Can you get any generators quieter than this one ?
