I think so too. Les Paul was more natural sustain but is too easily to overdrive. SG is easier to control overdrive. SG also offers better treble response.

on that SG sir thats a nice and soul sounding guitar you have thar i own a SG standard and i love it but i have to say that kind of SG you have is perfict

It's a 1964 Silvertone (sold by Sears) ...yes, made by Danelectro in Chicago I was told by the guitar's inventor's grandson.....etc. They sound like a Telecaster.

Not so keen on the sg for blues personally, not enough sustain or the right sound at all in my opinion. Much prefer a nice heavy les paul or a strat

It's all how you set the amp. Here I am playing clean. In my road days I could make the SG sing to anything the crowd or pro singer wanted. I like my strat for certain sounds. The SG has the playing long neck over the Paul though I have a Paul and love it.

65 reissue Fender Deluxe Reverb. One of the best amps ever made. At 22 watts you don't need power just quality sound.
