The Diamond 20CS Swiss-type lathe cuts and engraves a long brass part. The Diamond 20CS can machine parts up to 9.8" in length per chucking and has a programmable C-axis with a degree of 0.001 degrees. This demo shows off the machine's ability to do simultaneous Z and C-axis cutting on a long part.

  • I do not understand how tiny chip fragments don't mess up the spindle as it slides. The audacity in this design concept amazes me how it took off.

    boss: you wanna do what?

employee: no no no, hear me out .

    Still it works somehow. o_O

  • the soundtrack is as if its from red alert

  • @rivercarper01 the collet you see it riding in is merely a carbide lined guide bushing and the main spindle/chuck is located behind that it moves in and out and spins the material while the guide bushing only stabilizes the part

  • @guitarzan1283 That is very good. Have you ever had a chance to go to any of the Classes that MCC has at there NJ, Wood Dale or CA. offices. I have had the opportunity to run these Cincom's R04, R07, A16, A20, A220, A32, L316-20, L520, Type 7 & 8, L720 Type 8 & 9, L425-32, M20, M220-32, M320-32, M320Y-32, L632, C32, C16, L20E, K16, K16E. Plus i have had the great pleasure of developing many attachments for these machines. They are great machines. There only limitation is is our imagination.

  • @digtos i run 2 cincom C 16s 2 cincom L 20s and 2 Cincom A 20s every night so yea i have a bit of knowledge on the swiss style machines oh yea and i set all six up generally once a week occasionally we have a longer run but not very often

  • @guitarzan1283 Have you ever run a Swiss Screw Machine?

  • @digtos maybe on a regular machine not on a swiss you didnt i love you people that get on here just to make waves your great a real success at life in general

  • @rivercarper01 The work peice is actually held from an internal headstock on a chuck. The piece it slides through is basically a collet keeping the work peice stable.

  • How does it feed out the bar and hold onto it at the same time?

  • @BLAVA411 A Swiss Style Lathe with a Pick Off Spindle. Can run a part just shorter then the full lenth of the bar of stock. Standard 12 Ft. Bar Stock. What kind of machines do you run. What part of the planet are you living.
