Hasan Nisar - renowned Pakistani analyst and columnist - discusses the rising public anger in Pakistan from lack of basic amenities, high inflation, and a sinking economy. He describes how: (a) public is suffering massively from unemployment, price increases, load shedding, water shortage, and poor security; (b) the ruling elite has no sense of public pain and is confident of manipulating public opinion to retain power; (c) public exploitation has been a constant theme of government conduct since the country's formation; (d) there is no new leadership to channelize public anger to bring about a change for the good; and (e) domestic situation will continue to deteriorate so that with arrival of each new regime the public will long for the previous one. The interview was recorded in July 2009 as part of Meray Mutabiq program.

  • kashif bhai yeh sheher kaunsa dikha rahe hai any idea??? cuz i can only recognize trible areas and peshawar

  • If memory serves me right, the video footage in the beginning of the program is of Karachi in summer of 2009. It shows severe flooding in the city from unexpected torrential rains and the public pain from massive power blackouts.

  • Pakistan ka future dark darker darkest hain...even GOD can not save this nation and the poor people of this nation.

  • Hasan Nisar always blames others. Why not he joins politics and start solving problems.

  • We need patriots like Hassan Nisar. We need to multiply such intellectuals who can do the surgery of Pakistani Awam. We need surgery. Surgeon do the surgery which hurts but it cures.

  • Corruption on a scale of 1 to 10: India-7/10 Pakistan-9.5/10

Indictment for corruption cases: India- 3/10 Pakistan-0/10

These numbers are what I feel. Its a problem for both India and Pakistan and both have to tackle this problem.

  • Mr. Hassan Nisar is a great intellectual. Criticizing doesnt mean that he is a traitor... We really need to admit our mistakes and should learn from our past + present mistakes..

  • this guy Hasan is simply genius !

(i don't agree with some of his views but he sure is something )

  • Easist job is to criticized for point scoring. It will be better if these Danshver guide ppls. in solution of the Problems. These critics also sit in their comfort table homes and engage in Verbal Assult. If they have the problems which they R saying than they should be guiding ppls. on the roads. Lake of sincerity.

  • @231947able - Sorry sir, I hate Hassan Nisar very much, he represents yellow journalism, is a lootera, corrupt himself ... a bigger size of black sheep in journalist society ... BUT what he said is 1000% accurate. I would have been the first one to denounce him ... had I not been the witness to everything he claims. Where is the muslim nation you talk about ? Tell me ... would you follow a khwancha-farosh ... no, you would go for a son of a gun.

  • Hassan Nisar is 100% correct...

  • sell sell sell pakistan.
