The song is called "At the Edge of the Universe (silence = space)"
It's by Hualampong Riddim and Small Room, I believe.

If you have the chance, recommend this movie to an introspective person, and DON'T tell him anything of it.... and he must not read anything of it in internet. He will fall in love with it

I didn't like the movie, I saw it about a year ago. I want to give it a second chance, though. The soundtrack is beautiful.

@earinsound Thanks for the recommendations. I've been meaning to watch "Invisible Waves" I saw a little trailer on it, and it definitely looked like a movie i would be into. I've also wanted to see "Ploy".... at least i think that's the name of it. It has Lalita Panyopas in it, I enjoy her acting very much. And I'll check out Apichatpong Weerasethakul work as well.

Great experience you had. I've seen the film 12 times (I don't look at the subtitles either, but my Thai is pretty good--haha). Very mysterious, sensual film. "Invisible Waves" by Pen-ek with Tadanobu Asano is also good. Check out Apichatpong Weerasethakul films--different, slow, challenging.
Probably the only Thai movie I saw that had someone smoking a joint in it (surprised it wasn't censored!)

@earinsound That's crazy your friend was talking to Pen-ek and didn't know it, pretty cool. I really like this movie, when i got it, i popped it in the dvd player, rolled a couple of blunts, pushed play, and was taken on journey of unfamiliarity through a world i had no idea even existed. I swear, it was so vivid, I caught myself watching the movie without reading the subtitles a couple of times. i would enjoy it without subtitles. I discovered this while watching another Pen-ek joint "69"

Great movie! I can't remember how I discovered this gem but having lived in Thailand for a few months it is full of nostalgia!

Im really intrigued by this film. There is one copy left in my local HMV store in the UK and im seriously thinking about getting it. Problem is, money is not on my side right now........
This was worth every yen when I saw this at HMV when I went to Japan...I was sooo tempted to go soul searching for Tadanobu Asano ( god knows what I would do if he were here now...yea I'm a bit obsessed.)..I cherish this DVD..and I will for a very long time..I'll use to to teach my kids how to appreciate movies and analyze them instead of looking for action and gore and sex all the time...Pen-ek Rocks..and he always will.
