Obama is a joke. I wonder how long it took David Axelrod to write that speach for him. The credit crisis is the direct result of liberal policies under Clinton that required lenders to give loans to people who couldn't pay them back. Democrats have been using Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac as their personal piggy bank for years. Obama's campaign is up to its elbows in former Fannie Mae executives and lobbyists and the media is completely silent about it. This is the biggest coverup in history.

ljrahn, you are 100% correct. Research the Community Reinvestment Act if you don't believe him. Those calling for reigning in of Fannie/Freddie were called a racists. Banks were threatened with law suits if they didn't loan to low and lower-middle income borrowers who had no down payments and little ability to repay, food stamps and unemployment were to be considered sources of income. Several Democrats in Congress should be investigated by the FBI too, including Frank and Dodd.

The FIRST BAILOUT was written by your GOP FED CHIEF, Bernacke. It was Bernacke, with Paulson, last September told Congress that they COULD NOT WAIT to have Congress get involved, because THE FINANCIAL CRISIS WAS TOO SEVERE. And by an executive action, the FED ACTED ALONE to use its cash, and have Congress OK a 1-pager, to let Paulson use it.

What's more, Bush didn't veto one bill in his FIRST 6 YEARS of office. A record. Not until the Dems took a slim majority, than Bush began vetoing EVERYTHING. Remember the Reps bitching because they were not allowed into the meetings while those bills were written?Since Oct 08 they have spent $13.5+ trillion on just bailouts,the Dem's have pushed and written every one of those bills.That's more money than has been spent on both wars since the start, combined.
