How long were you stuck when the train STOPPED? If it was longer than 10 minutes, say something to the local police because trains can not occupy public crossings whether switching or standing longer than 10 minutes.
@177987auprr1 thank you for the reply. yes it was longer than 10 minutes. I did not inform the police. I hope they find better solutions like a bridge maybe over or under the train so nobody will have to stop
@177987auprr1 Sure they can. Laws vary from state to state and community to community. That law may pertain to some communities but they are seldom enforceable. If it happens often, I do agree with your advice to complain though. Even if there is no law governing that crossing, the railroads are sensitive to pissing off communities who in turn can make life difficult.
