This is the first half of a two part video showing you how to design, customize and hand craft your own personal Bushknife.

Not just a simple blade with a handle, but a knife that you can depend on when you really need one, a knife that will hopefully meet all your survival needs, keep it's edge and maintain its strength regardless of conditions or the rough use you put it through.

Keep an eye out for my new videos, I'll be making more on survival and practical skills, including plant life, putting down food crops, as well as harvesting. I'll be showing people around the ranch, and we'll be talking about what it takes to actually survive... not for a few days, not for a few weeks, but for a whole year (all four seasons) and hopefully indefinitely.

Hard times lay ahead of us as humans and especially as Americans... and as Americans, we have responsibilities to our fellow man and ourselves, to help one another and stand together... but we cant do that if we're starving or dying out from that very common human condition... Stupidity!

This video is an educational film, starring the Bush Boy, edited and produced by James Williams of -Picture Rock Productions-.

  • Americanbushboy! What's up man!? No eye protection? You ARE bad ass!

No, seriously - what; up with that, man? I have a spot in my right eye that is burned out from that. When I was 5 years or so, I watched a rod welder too long my Uncle was using and it was just a few seconds - Now, at 39, If I look up at the night sky, I can't see a star dead on. It's not too bad, but you get the point - protect ya' eyes, man!

  • @PK4him wish youtube was around when I was your age... would have made life alot more interesting....

  • dont use the torch is not the best way only if you temper it later

  • id just like to point out the fact about him saying saw blade steel aint good with temperature changes if got an engineering diploma and erm well hate to brake it to u but the steel they make saws out of is pretty damn gd at dealing with heat changes.

  • that grinder is not the best way to sharpin it that belt sander woulda been better

  • Excelent video, very informative and well edited. you deserve more veiws :)

  • you really should use some better eye protection, something to shade your eyes from the torch.

good idea with the belt sander!
