Locks of Love is a scam. They sell 99 percent of the hair they get, and even the one percent that goes to kids with alopecia (not cancer) has to be paid by the family. LoL has also received millions of dollars in money donations, but they don't give anything for free. Locks of Love is not a charity, it's a fraud. If you wish to help sick people, donate actual money to American Cancer Society. Hair doesn't cure anyone anyway, even if it's used for wigs for kids.

I can see how you would get that sort of idea, but it's ridiculous to assume that these people didn't do it out of the kindness of their hearts. First of all, you have to go through the trouble of finding a hair salon that even supports Locks of Love, you can't go to just any salon, so why go through the trouble if you don't care?

People will be proud of their donations, I see no wrong in that, but just because they are proud doesn't mean they are bragging.

You know what, you are not a very nice person! You have nothing nice to say to anyone! I don't go around telling people "look what I did!" If people ask me about my hair, I'll tell them, but I've not heard anything bad about Locks of Love from anyone in person. It's people like you who don't like it! GET OVER IT! This is stupid! The donated hair is out there on a head or in a bear, I don't care! I trust Locks of Love did the right thing, but it's out of my hands & I don't loose sleep over it!

You would know if you had sold it yourself and had given the money to the cancer foundation. That would have been the far better idea - don't you think, too?

Sometimes I have the impression that it may be not so much to actually be sure to help, but to be able to tell the people: look, I've donated to Locks of Love, see what a wonderful and unselfish human being I am. Please applaud to me and say to me how great I am.
