[Apparently] in one scene, Amy Rose is excited to hear Shadow is competing.
SO i said for silver too
Silver:
"When writer Ian Flynn was asked if he was going to reveal who Silver was descended from, he said "No". He went on to further explain that, "[He doesn't] think Sega will ever delve into Silver's back-story. Short of cameo appearances or non-main-series games, [he] think[s] we've seen the last of him. All that said, [he's] sure [Silver]'ll remain a familiar face. And given how much SegaSonic parallels Dragon Ball Z, [he]'d wager Silver is somehow descended from Shadow and Amy. He also said that people should not ask him "how that'd work", and that he was "just going off the patterns."

"This theorized rumor was based off that interview, and with four other theories (other than the Vegeta/Bulma = Trunks Dragon Ball Z one) by other fans. One, being that Amy Rose and Shadow the Hedgehog spent the most time with Silver as his comrade-allies instead of his enemies, unlike Sonic and so forth. Two, just because they are both hedgehogs, since Silver is a full-bred hedgehog. Three, being the clarification that the pink hedgehog does have a psychic intuition/psychic abilities, such as reading into future events and finding objects/destinations with her sixth sense or tarot cards. Regardless of what she's looking for, she still has this minor ability (if SEGA played into her ability more, she would definitely be more useful and a worthy victim to kidnap, much like the Shikon Jewel shards-finding Kagome of InuYasha or Card Captor Sakura). She is not psychic in the sense that Silver is, but some fans brought up that perhaps the merging of Shadow's Chaos Energy and her psychic intuition is what evolved Silver's psychic abilities to that point, since no hedgehogs in current SEGA have any relation to his psychic powers except for the combination of these two. The fourth notion being that the colors pink and black mixed together do create a grey color. However, it depends on how light or dark the colors are, and the fact that the grey color comes out as just that - grey.

Given the fact that Silver is a fourteen year old hedgehog who lives in a 200 year old future from the present time, perhaps the grey color lightens into silvery characteristics as the generations go by between descendants. The "fifth" being...at least we all know where Silver got his stupid haircut from [Amy]."

I read somewhere that in one of the pictures in Shadow the hedgehog Amy and Shadow were holdinf hands and SEGA edited out because it was spotted quickly and very few copies have the picture.
