Tim Albert was born and raised in New Orleans and graduated from Louisiana School for the Deaf in Baton Rouge in 1991. He graduated from NTID (National Technical Institute for the Deaf) in Rochester, New York where he obtained an AAS (Applied in Associate Science) degree in Photography in 1997. While attending NTID, he was a student of many accomplishments that benefited him through the NTID/RIT community: Longtime member of Ebony Club, Resident Advisor for six year, first black deaf president of the Black Awareness Coordinating Committee, and first black deaf brother of Alpha Phi Alpha fraternity. He went to Gallaudet University in Washington, DC in 1998 where he studied in Social Work field. He served as president of District of Columbia Area Black Deaf Advocates from 2003 to 2005, board member of Deaf Abused Womens Network (DAWN) from 2003 to 2005, and director of National Black Deaf Advocates Youth Empowerment Summit from 2002 to 2007. He obtained bachelors degree in Social Work in 2002 and masters degree in Social Work in 2004 from Gallaudet University. Currently, he is a school social worker at the Georgia School for the Deaf in Cave Spring since August 2005. In addition, he serves as member of the advisory boards of the Cave Spring Rehabilitation Center.
